Nan Our earliest memories were at Maino Crescent Time spent there with you were oh so pleasant Out in the outhouse playing with the mangle Or watching you knit making sure your wool didn’t tangle We remember you baking delicious cakes “A splash of vanilla” you said “is all it takes” Sleepovers at yours filled with such fun and kindness We’ll always remember your words before bed “night night God bless” Knitting animals was a fun hobby for you A whole family of mice and even Santa Claus too You were a Nan, Great Gran and great by nature too How lucky we all were to have someone as wonderful as you You used to say “I’m crying, I’m sobbing, I’m Christopher Robin” Now we’re crying, we’re sobbing at the loss of our ‘Christopher Robin’ Our time is filled with sadness and tears But tears turn to smiles as we remember fun times we had through the years You’ll be forever in our hearts Nan Rest in peace Love from Stacy, Ian, Gail and our children xxxxx
